Jeez o’ peats! A blog post, from the wonderful R&F Handmade Paints, was published today on yours truly. Thank you thank you it was terribly sweet!

Check out the R&F blog here: https://www.rfpaints.com/unique-color Art Desk: The lovely Shelley has emerged.

Watching: The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947) One of my favorite unscary ghost tales. 👻 Art Desk: I’m in the nerverending painting dance: Heat/Paint/Fuse/Scrape/Carve/Repeat

Watching: The Screaming Woman (1972) with the lovely Olivia de Havilland ❤️ Art Desk: Lets keep digging! Push and pull of discovery in the portrait.

Watching: The Atomic Brain (1963) Art Desk: A textured layer of gorgeous celadon green wax. The stark portrait is taking shape.

Watching: Reservation Dogs Art Desk: A starting layer to a portrait. Scraped back to nearly bare and ready for building more encaustic paint layers.

Watching: The Creeping Flesh (1973) Art Desk: Fingers crossed for a good dye garden this year! Plus: Guest apperance by cat butt… 🍀

Top Row: Woad, Moon Flower, Coreopsis. Middle Row: Madder Root, Bee Balm, Feverfew.
Bottom Row: Indigo, Dill, Starflower.

Watching: Secret Gar Art Desk: The final encaustic pour! I will leave the uneven layers of poured wax. But I’m undecided if I need to carve out a divet.
Watching: Home for the Holidays (1972) Art Desk: Digging progress! And the inevitable playing/arranging of paint scraps.
Watching: High Sierra (1941) Art Desk: Dig! Dig! Dig! I have to stop myself from going overboard on the excavation. So I’m having a go at other encaustic pieces.
Watching: The Midnight Hour (1985)
